lobbes: hey hey
mod6: ok, continuing on.
mod6: so...
mod6: something blew up probably way before you got to the TRB build itself
mod6: in the buildroot build
mod6: sooo
mod6: we didn't see this because it was all snipped out.
mod6: I advise start over with a fresh new press, and build, or we'll have to clean everything out.
mod6: not promise that it'll work though.
mod6: however, with a proper log of the root error, that could help resolve the problem.
lobbes: oh btw, I didn't see a toolchain/usr/x86_64-therealbitcoin-linux-musl-g++, but "toolchain/usr/x86_64-therealbitcoin-linux-musl" exsits
lobbes: *exists
lobbes: but okay
mod6: just a sec here..
mod6: ok, you know what, i'd say just start over.
mod6: that's probably a lot less gyrations.
lobbes: okay
mod6: and just ensure that this time you get a full log of entire process.
mod6: Anyway, I'm gonna call it a night.
mod6: We can work on this later.
mod6: Sorry for the troubles.
mod6: Night!
lobbes: sounds good. thanks for the help!
mod6: no prob at all.
asciilifeform tuned in, but will be out in meatspace for first half of today
mod6: yeah, same mostly.
mod6: thanks asciilifeform!
lobbes: news update... I got bitcoind to build!! (still need to test it worx and can sync)
lobbes must also attend to meatspace for a spell, but will bbl with details
mod6: NICE
mod6: thanks, any details would be good incase the next time this happens :/
mod6: err :]
lobbes: alright! Looks like I am getting blocks >> http://p.bvulpes.com/pastes/j80OZ/?raw=true
lobbes: at least, looks like "blk0001.dat" is growing with time
lobbes goes to try and piece together what he did to get it to work
lobbes: as promised, details: http://p.bvulpes.com/pastes/IBQ84/?raw=true
mod6: ah!
mod6 looks
mod6: Outanding, lobbes! Glad you got it figured out, and logged & linked all the things together for the future.
mod6: very good work. Cheers!
lobbes: thanks mod6 o7
lobbes: currently at block height 149850. so far so good
mod6: :]
mod6: very nice!
mod6: trinque: regarding my gentoo troubles in #pizarro, in the latter portion of that, I tried to use an old stage3.
mod6: however, it was complaining that all packages were masked.
mod6: is there a way to unmask them in which I can build all the things and genkernel, etc? Is there a way to perhaps unmask all packages (in case the list of packages to unmask would be hundreds of "atoms" long?)
mod6: ok --autounmask=y seems to help
trinque: would need to see a paste of what was masked to say
mod6: well, i went back to the 2015 stage3, which did not allow me to unmask things.
mod6: apparently EAPI is too old
mod6: and gentoo forums say, 'ur fucked'
mod6: im now gonna try the 20170316 stage3 and see how that goes.
mod6: if i end up with the same problems, ... then i'll go back and try ben's 6->5->4 dance again tomorrow.
mod6: been fighting this pile of manure all day.
mod6: wb, sorry bout that.
mod6: I added you to auto-invite.
asciilifeform: ty
